I run a small gear repair and alterations studio here in Fairplay, specializing in outdoor gear and workwear. I also take on straightforward alterations such as hems on jeans, work pants, and single-layer dresses.
I offer local pick-up and drop-off at Prather’s in Fairplay by appointment. If you’d prefer for me to come to you, mobile pick-up and drop-off is also available in surrounding mountain communities for an additional travel fee, based on location.
Coming from outside the area? Just reach out and we can figure out a convenient meeting location.

Repairing gear isn’t just about fixing something quickly. It’s about making sure it actually holds up when you use it again. I approach every repair the same way I do my own running gear. I focus on durability, function, and how it performs in real conditions. I also document parts of the process so you can see exactly what was done and why.

Hey, I’m Jaz!
I live and train in Fairplay, Colorado, and I got into this work by fixing my own gear so it could actually handle the conditions we live in.
I’ve always been drawn to the technical side of gear and the grittiness of the work. A lot of what I know, I taught myself because I had something that needed fixing and I wanted to figure out how to do it.
When I’m not working on gear, you’ll probably find me out training with my two huskies.
I use my own gear hard, and when something breaks, I don’t want a new one. I want that jacket or that pair of shorts because I’ve put a lot of miles into them and they mean something to me. I know other people feel the same way about their gear. So if you'd rather fix what you have than replace it, bring it to me and I'll see what I can do.

Deposits & Payments
Payment is due in full before work begins. Once I’ve inspected your item and we’ve agreed on the repair and price, payment is required before I get started.
2.Pickup & Abandoned Items
You’ll receive a text or call once your item is ready for pickup. Please arrange pickup within 30 days of that notification. Items not picked up within 30 days, unless other arrangements have been made, may be considered abandoned.
3. Liability & Gear Condition
AlterDash is not responsible for the failure of materials that are already weakened by age, wear, UV exposure, dry rot, previous repairs, or other pre-existing deterioration. Some damage or material weakness may not be visible until an item is handled, opened, or worked on during the repair process.
Please let me know about any damage, previous repairs, or known issues when dropping off your item. If I find additional damage or deterioration that may affect the repair, I’ll contact you before moving forward whenever possible.
By dropping off your items, you are agreeing to these terms.
